 The right to freedom of expression of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people in the Russian city of St Petersburg could be severely restricted if a new bill is passed into law. The bill is due to have its third hearing in the city's legislative assembly in the coming days.

Nine homeless Romani families temporarily settled by the Albanian authorities in tents on private land have been threatened with imminent forced eviction. No adequate alternative housing has been offered to these families.

Twenty-seven Roma families, including some displaced from Kosovo, are facing imminent forced eviction from their homes in the Serbian capital, Belgrade. The government, responsible for the eviction, has not provided them with adequate alternative accommodation.

On 1 November, the City of Belgrade Inspectorate, an administrative body within the city authorities, gave the 27 families 48 hours' notice to leave their homes. The families all live in Block 61 in the New Belgrade area of the city.
